Founded in 2008, Ecoegg has built its success on providing innovative and effective, laundry and cleaning products to both the UK market and worldwide.
Our hero product is the ecoegg Laundry Egg which is a complete replacement for laundry detergent and fabric conditioner but works without the use of nasty chemicals or enzymes. Our Laundry Egg contains mineral pellets that lift away dirt without fading colours or leaving chemical residue on clothing.
Perfect for even the most delicate of skins, the Fragrance-Free ecoegg Laundry Egg and ecoegg Dryer Eggs have held Allergy UK’s ‘Allergy Friendly Product’ award since 2011.
We are proud of our Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation which we were awarded in 2016 plus our New Product award from The Grocer in 2020.

Unlike traditional detergents, there is no measuring or mess. Simply pop the Laundry Egg in the drum of your machine with your laundry and let it get to work. After 70 washes (the pellets will have halved in size), refill! It’s that simple! Perfect for all the family to use, and with its minimal size, it's super easy to store too!

This seems to work well, it is easy to use if you follow the instructions and not having to use washing powder or softener is great. Doesn't leave clothes smelling of anything in particular like washing powder does, but certainly leaves them fresh. I have had a few items with stubborn stains that haven't come out (toddler in the house!) but it's possible washing powder would also have struggled. My son's eczema has much improved over the last few months. I'm not sure whether it is definitely connected to changing to the egg but it is a coincidence that he had terrible eczema for the first two years of his life and it significantly improved at the same time as switching to this.

Have now bought 4 eco eggs and given as presents, all have been very inpressed by the eggs and have said they wishes they had new about them before. They save you a lot of money as well as the environment . Try for yourself you have nothing to loose. Just one more thing stains do need some help.

I’ve been doing my washing for past 2 and half weeks with this wee egg. I wash cloth nappies , cloth wipes and all baby clothes etc with this egg and one cap of fairy fabric conditioner. My clothes have all been so fresh because of the conditioner and clean because of the egg. It’s great value for money and good for the environment . Win win! 😁

I’m 10 months into using my egg and I still love it. I added the extra balls a couple of months ago and they still fill the larger section of the egg - I’m amazed.
I got the spring blossom egg - There is a slight scent but tbh I normally add a couple of drops of essential oil to give an added scent. I find my clothes clean well - I do use a stain treatment but I would do that with my previous washing liquid. Some people say their sheets are no longer white - My sheets are just as clean and white.

I wondered how effective these might be. And husband was VERY dubious! I have to say though that we are both impressed after using for one week. My husband even commented upon the effectiveness this morning.
After using this product for several months I have changed my views on 2 counts. I find the noise of the egg very intrusive..bang, bang, bang... Secondly I have found that whilst initially things seem bright and clean over time this has reduced and white items in particular became very grey, even though using the product recommended solely for white items.
Only one issue - the bumping noise of the egg in our new ultra quiet washing machine! It nearly made me change my mind. But my husband persuaded me to continue.

Brilliant, I had been using the previous version of this for the last 5 years, keeps the cost of washing powder/liquid right down.
This smells lovely, used it a couple of times so far and clothes are clean and smell fresh.
Would recommend it, must have saved £100's over the years on powder, and the soap drawer keeps clean!

If you aren’t happy with your purchase from ecoegg.com, for whatever reason, just return it to us within 30 days for a full refund of the price of the item(s). All we need is a copy of your original receipt, order confirmation or credit/debit statement as proof of purchase.

Faulty products
If you think your product is faulty, please send us a photo and a copy of your original receipt, order confirmation or credit/debit card statement. We reserve the right to ask you to return the item at our cost. If the item is found to be faulty, we will send you a replacement item at our cost.
