Our Story

Founded by Caroline and Anita

Our vision is to create natural, plant-based cleaning products, free from harmful chemicals that damage the environment inside and outside our homes.

We’ve always talked a lot about the effects of harsh chemicals on our children’s health, which we believe were the cause of regular headaches and outbreaks of eczema. We’ve also felt increasingly uncomfortable with the amount of plastic packaging that we use and supposedly recycle, but a lot of which still ends up in the ocean.

With a clear idea of what MadeKind would look like, and what products we wanted to create, we knew we’d need help bringing our vision to life. So we connected with a UK-based laboratory that specialises in creating eco products and began our journey with them.

We use glass and aluminium bottles instead of plastic. And you’ll only find natural, plant-based ingredients in our products, which are designed to appeal to anyone who cares about the health of their families, pets, themselves and the planet.

All Natural Ingredients

The idea that you need toxic chemicals to kill bacteria and cut through grease and grime simply isn’t true. There are plenty of natural ingredients that have powerful antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Not only can the chemicals in regular household cleaners poison the air inside your home, but they’re also washed into our water systems, which over time affect wildlife and other natural resources. So we’ve developed biodegradable formulas that are safe around kids and pets, and use natural essential oils instead of harsh, synthetic fragrances.

Brought these for my mom as a Mother's Day pressie. When she opened them they looked and smelled so good that my dad thought they were fudge and we had to stop him trying to eat one! Mom absolutely loves them, they smell amazing and she said they don't melt away really quickly like other handmade soaps tend to, they're really lovely and long lasting. They each have a really distinct scent too, not different names but all smell the same. They're a beautiful product as a gift, smell wonderful, long lasting and with that handmade special touch, I need to get some for myself!

Shop Policies

For deliveries within the UK we aim to dispatch all online orders within 2 working days, but this can take longer during busy times such as Christmas. We send parcels by Royal Mail signature service (for liquids) or a tracked courier delivery (Evri or Yodel). Our current UK delivery charge is £3.95 for orders under the value of £50.00. We offer free delivery for orders over this amount. If an item that you have ordered is temporarily out of stock we will get in touch with you to advise you of the earliest possible delivery date. If you are not satisfied with the delivery date we offer  you,  you have  the option to cancel the order and we will  refund you. We are based in Twickenham and if you would like to collect your order please email us at hello@madekind.co.uk. We offer free local delivery for orders of £20 and over to the following postcodes : TW1, TW2, TW3, TW7, TW9, TW10, TW11, TW12 and TW13.

Returns & Exchanges

If you are not happy with your purchase you can return your item for a refund or an exchange within 30 days. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs. To return your order please contact us first at hello@madekind.co.uk.  All parcels are sent back at your own risk. We would advise using recorded delivery as the parcel is not our responsibility until we sign for it. We will only accept the return of item/s if sent back in original unused condition.
